Hello riders!

Well it’s September, State Show is over, kids are back in school and we’re all starting to think about convention and the upcoming season. Here’s to a great season full of firsts, good memories and just plain fun!

As promised we want to acknowledge our ever so generous Firecracker Frenzy sponsors, without them a show of this magnitude would not be possible. We have some sponsors who help each and every year so to those people/companies our deepest gratitude for your continued support. For the new sponsors thank you for coming on board. Please know that all sponsors are greatly appreciated by District 8 and all of the Frenzy riders! We’ll keep your company information available on the district website this coming season.

Thank you to the following:

2G Roses, 2G Snowcones, Arabia’s Overkill, Bar X One Water Tender, Bayequest, Beisker’s Auto, Boot Barn, BradleyWear, Brian Cole Family, Brown’s Feed, C & N Tractors, CA Rodeo, Casa de Familia, Chris & CJ Jones, Clark’s Construction,Coast Produce, Cowboy Magic, Desktop D’signs, Driscolls, Elk Grove Milling, Hands on Reins, Karen Jamison and Co, King Feed, Prunedale LA Hearne, Laurel Inn, Los Gatos Brewing Co, Mary Sullivan-White, Monterey County Sheriff’s Posse, Normandin Chrysler Dodge, Nutrena, O.H. A show like this would not be a success if the riders were not happy. From what we could gather this year might have topped previous years with the number of happy riders! Thanks to the Jeff and crew for manning the BBQ and getting the hungry riders fed! Chris and Nathan thanks for entertaining the lot of us during the day and into the evening!!!! Thank you again to all of the people who jumped in to help in and out of the arena, you are all appreciated.

Congratulations to all of winners, everyone went home with a either a bag of grain or a certificate redeemable for a bag of grain. When all was said and done we had 105 awards that we could give, so that’s what we did. We placed down to 15th place when possible!!!! Now that’s a lot of riders going home with awards.

We again awarded overall speed and overall skill. This year we gave a plaque and $50 cash. Overall speed winner was Sierrah Madrigal and Overall Skill winner was Rocky Merrick.

Congratulations to all of our winners

Moving forward to State Show, congratulations to all the riders who did so well!!!!! The local riders sure did clean up! Special thanks to Lisa Bradley of Bradleywear for making up our district shirts so quickly, we love them. Rene thanks for putting together our district flag in record time. D8 looked very put together at grand entry thanks to your efforts. For those who want a district shirt we’ll be putting together an order pretty soon.

We love to hear any suggestions that you might have to improve our district so please feel free to contact us with any ideas or comments you might have. If it’s possible we’ll try to implement it or at least consider it. Remember this is our district and together we’ll make it a place to have fun!

We do have a 2 day shows scheduled at the Posse for September and October, check out the website for more info. www.ridecgadistrict8.com

Until we see one another again ride hard and ride safe!
